I find it always very very difficult to give constructive feedback on a whole page / site concept based on a mockup (image). Like Yiannis says above “Is it responsive?” – not only, does it fit well on small screen devices and oversized screens of video jockeys? But also, how well does it react to user set font-sizing, either browser preferences or zoom or text-size zoom… And so many other things that matter in a theme, such as all forms of accessibility – :focus and :focus-within states and so on, colour contrasts, …………

I like the idea of your “classic” or back-to-older-times look though.
