Textism

Ahem…

textism.com

It would appear someone is in the process of gluing it back together. If whoever it is needs a hand, let me know.

JH mentioned it might be Gruber. Emailed him to ask, and offer whatever grunt work I can to help resurrect. It’ll be a laborious project pulling whatever is left on the waybackmachine and plugging it back in to a fresh Txp install.

I’d love to see textism.com properly archived as a fully functioning site for posterity sake.

Nope, at least not in our project portfolio.

The domain has been owned for nearly a decade by the same owner…or at least someone using the same registrar, name servers, and ASN. My instinct is that the current owner has scraped Wayback Machine (or similar) to get some content live and not be classed as a squatted / spam site.

Re: Textism

Maybe we should reclaim the content then? ie. Scrape it and put it on a txp powered subdomain such as textism.textpattern.com

Re: Textism

FYI: I siphoned off a chunk of web archived textisms and commited them into a git repo here.

A few SQL attempts later I dropped the project again. Lazy me.

Use at will. © dca, probalby.

edit: I did not restore the current content on textism.com, do not have any access to the site’s server and I don’t know the domain owner.
