Thank you
I’ve been asking a ton of sometimes quite complex questions on and off these past few weeks and just wanted to say thank you to all concerned for keeping on helping me find answers, whether with ideas or practical solutions, or even core modifications! It’s very reassuring to feel able to ask the experts in the reasonable hope of getting a useful answer.
I’m very aware that it takes time to digest complex questions, and it’s a rare thing to get such detailed and focussed assistance. I don’t take it for granted and I hope that from time to time it also leads to general improvements.
By way of example, Stef worked out a quick way to selectively override the standard behaviour where users are logged out when a new login occurs elsewhere under that name on another browser. While the standard behaviour is more secure and thus generally desirable, the modification does open up a simple way – in conjunction with plugins like mck_login (and I guess also cbe_frontauth) – to realise password-protected site sections with one user/pass combination. I hope that makes it into the core. If it does, I’ll try and document that for others…

Re: Thank you
You’re welcome. I haven’t forgotten about the multi logins, btw. Been snowed under with having fun relocating my domains, among other things.
Testing of the feature has gone well so I’m going to slam it into core this week I think. It’s such a trivial change and has enormous benefit while testing.
