Search (docs.textpattern.com) not working
Is it just me or is the search for the Docs broken? I’m just getting a blank result page.

I get results… eventually. But first response is slow. Appreciably, 3-4 seconds after seeing an empty area where the results should go, then they populate. After that, subsequent searches are almost immediate.

Re: Search (docs.textpattern.com) not working
This is a holdout from the legacy Github Pages -> Jekyll stuff and needs looking at. There are known issues with Safari (it’s always Safari…) and the upstream search thing. See this for some background.
I’m confident we can move away from Jekyll next year, and onto something that’s hosted properly.

Yes Safari 18.2. No results after waiting several seconds.

Thanks. I had a feeling it was. It’s a known problem with Safari and the upstream search plugin misbehaving. See github.com/textpattern/textpattern.github.io/issues/192 for some background info.
Workaround: a non-Safari browser.

Workaround: $search-term site:https://docs.textpattern.com
in your favourite search engine. And in my experience it works better that the build-in search.
(I have a nice little shortcut for that in my Safari search extension)
