Comments not working: your_ip_is_blacklisted_by sbl.spamhaus.org
Hi,
I’ve a Textpattern-based website hosted on bluehost which used to work fine with comments. I recently updated to 4.8.8 and noticed the following error message for Comment:

your_ip_is_blacklisted_by sbl.spamhaus.org

I googled and found the following link: https://forum.textpattern.com/viewtopic.php?id=20245
However the links in the 2006-12-18 response: http://textpattern.com/faq/243/comment-spam-blacklist-false-positives and http://textpattern.com/faq/?c=Releases-404 are no longer valid.
How to solve this issue?

Hi xiangjun, and welcome to the forum.
Luckily, both urls are archived in the Wayback Machine.
You may need to delete sbl.spamhaus.org from your preferences.

Thank you so much for the quick response.
You may need to delete sbl.spamhaus.org from your preferences.That solved the problem: by simply removing “sbl.spamhaus.org” from the field of Admin :: Preferences :: Comments :: Spam blocklists (comma-separated).
