I’ve been using Caddy for one of my projects and I love it. Having only one configuration file (the Caddyfile) is so much simpler. Having Lets Encrypt built in is just awesome and being able to easily turn it off if you have your own certificates is just perfect.

Interesting so, FrankenPHP is another web server designed to integrate closely with PHP and uses Caddy as its core. I think more digging is required on this one.

Changed: PHP now uses current libgd (v2.3.3), not the system native (v2.1.0). This brings extra AVIF-ness.
Changed: PHP now compiled with mysqlnd enabled (as well as mysqli), and PDO MySQL now uses mysqlnd. This might explode…time will tell.

The above changes should both be live across all versions in the next 60 minutes. I am running with scissors on this server, so your patience is appreciated. There are 3 parallel source compiles underway. Hey, we’ve paid for 100% of the CPU cores…may as well use them.
