Latest TXP

Hello,
I just downloaded the latest textpattern-4.9.0-beta.zip and did same from https://github.com/textpattern/textpattern (on zip and after unzip) looks both show all files with the same date.
textpattern-4.9.0-beta.zip shows all files from 8/13/2024, and files from github show today’s date. Any idea how to preserve original creation and modification date time?
while github.com/textpattern/textpattern shows correct date time.

If you’re using the GitHub ‘Code -> Download ZIP’ route, the .zip archive is created dynamically, hence the ‘now’-ness of the timestamps, so that’s expected behaviour. If you download the beta .zip that was created as part of the the beta release, that’s static – so the timestamps would be according to either the last modified date, or the date they were created on your computer. Some .zip extractors will let you choose between the archive file timestamp or the creation date on your hard drive.

…or have I misunderstood?

Thank you, I downloaded from both , and both showed static date time, the one textpattern-4.9.0-beta.zip
shows 8/13/2024 6:57AM, but GitHub the download date time. (all files)
