Default Section pref

Was wondering if it would be too much trouble to add a pref for fixing a default section assignment. Put it right under the ‘Default publishing status’ pref:

  • Default publishing status
  • Default section assignment

Or whatever words you want.

The About section is always first in the (my) list, thus default by default, but it’s the one section I never assign more articles to. Having to change this every single time seems like a needless effort when 99.9% of the time it goes to one other particular section.

Re: Default Section pref

Never mind. I found it. I guess it’s not the first place the mind thinks to look, being a preference. Maybe it could be in both places? Not like software doesn’t have multiple avenues to the same features.

Re: Default Section pref

Go to the Presentation > Sections panel and there’s a default publishing section pref there. It’s too much furniture to add to the Write panel, imo.

Edit: Suppose it could be on the Prefs panel. There’s an argument to be had for Prefs in context vs lumping them all together.
