4.9-Dev: Date format preferences differences
Looking at my local dev install and a local 4.8.8 install (both Git up-to-date), I noticed that there is difference between the Preferences > Site > Date format (and Archive date format. The 4.8.8 has the select widget with subset of predefined options and a text input field to allow a custom date format. The 4.9-dev lacks the text input field and has a longer list of predefined options.
Some DB massaging still need to happen on 4.9-dev ?

Right, that’s wrong. It looks like some commits from 4.8.8 have not been imported into 4.9-dev or were reverted. Will check, thanks.
Edit: should be fixed unless scrutinizer disagrees.
