Thank you very much. In the last year I have luckily recovered nicely.

Gladly, Textpattern is alive and kicking, too! I am increasingly wondering whether/why the need for small CMSes persists in the age of Wix, Squarespace, Jimdo, hosting providers’ website builders and the likes…

If you look at the underlying source code, lighthouse scores, organic search rankings, TTFB – you’ll know why.

Depends on budget too – I have used Squarespace for a couple of quick, cheap site builds in the past and it’s fine for what it is (and as long as the client doesn’t want to stray from the pre-made template).

Totally agree Phil.

I updated a website from TXP 4.8.7 to 4.8.8-dev, then from 4.8.8-beta1, to finally 4.8.8 version without any noticed problems 😜. Many thanks to all Devs crew.

Updated to 4.8.8 without incident on this Robbie Burns Day

A-chasing the wild-deer, and following the roe,
My heart’s in Texpattern wherever I go.”

Re: Feedback: Textpattern CMS 4.8.8 released

A great way to start off the new year, thanks!

Can anyone remind me how to stop the “A new Textpattern version (4.8.8) has been installed” message from appearing on each page load? I was on the v4.8.8-dev branch and have moved back to the main branch.

Force-reload once or twice should do it to be sure the updated js is loaded.

Thanks, I’ve tried this and also using a private window, but still seeing the message. If I move back to the v4.8.8.-dev branch the messages goes away.
