You’re an amazing, knowledgeable, friendly, supportive tribe of people, and I really appreciate you all. This community is excellent.

Textpattern has introduced me to some stellar individuals all around the world, pushed me to learn new things, and taken me to places I never thought I would go – on technical and personal levels.

If you’re in a part of the world where this time of year is challenging – crappy weather, dark nights, isolation, any other factor – and you’re in need of a safe, discreet person to ping for a chat: I’m here. My email is in my profile, you don’t ever need a reason to say hi or reach out.

All the best everybody. I still hang around here cos of you all. There’s a lot of craziness in this world and places like this are to be treasured. Haven’t been doing any txp-ing for quite a while now, lots of other things to do, but this forum is like a good habit that helps keep me sane. Thank you very much and Merry Christmas to all.

Pete, you couldn’t have put it better! I was reflecting the other day on how just innocuously joining a forum some 16-17 years ago ended up being a regular part of my life, to a large part thanks to you all. I would never had guessed that then!

From all the online communities I have been involved with, txp has ended up to be my only stable. The major reason for this, is the warm virtual understanding and friendships that we all created through the years.

But this, has not been just a social group. The txp CMS has also maintained its security and stability, thanks to the core developers and their tight understanding of the community’s needs, and grew into a software that is aeons ahead of its competition.

Thank you all for the engaged and engaging 17 years you have offered to the rest of us.

My feelings echo those expressed above. When I joined in 2005, I could not have foreseen how important Textpattern and this community would become.
