Moving installation to a subdomain
hi!
is it moving the installation to a subdomain is same as moving installation to a different directory?
i would like to move installation from mysite.com to old.mysite.com

I think that it is like moving installation to another site for most servers.

It will depend a bit on how you host handles subdomains. Often you need to set up the subdomain first and instruct it which folder on your server it should use.
After that, the rest is like moving to a new folder. In Textpattern, you’ll need to change the Site url in the Preferences accordingly, otherwise you just need to adjust the folder paths in the prefs and the config.php. If the database doesn’t change, you can leave those settings the same.
