poll/vote
Firstly, I am aware of geo_vote plugin which currently does not work.
I’m looking for either an open source poll system (php/mysql) or a free online one to create a poll to select representatives from cultural NGOs here.
The poll should allow up to 3-4 selections (we are still discussing the max number of representatives) of the nominated individuals.
It should be simple and it may even be possible with com_connect but my search in the past 3 days yield no results that meet this criterion.

geo_vote is pretty simple and may not cover your needs. For what it’s worth, I started reworking the plugin earlier in the year until the person interested in it decided to use another service. I can revisit that if you’re not in a hurry.
Otherwise, Limesurvey is fully-fledged polling tool that has a community edition that is PHP/MySQL based. They show the requirements and installation in their docs. They have a small-use free tier for their cloud services and a discount for non-profits should you need more.

Any online free systems anyone can recommend?
We expect to have
- 42 voters
- Unknown number of nominations
- 3-4 selections/voter

I’d like to mention Nuudel by the german privacy oriented NGO Digitalcourage. I’ve not used it yet, but recommend it simply because I know your stance re privacy, Yiannis. The page starts in German, at least for my IP, but there’s a language switcher (top right).

Wufoo could be an option. It is free for small surveys like this. Also, polldaddy (crowdsignal), jotform or tedme are nice tools.
