For anyone who doesn’t know or has forgotten Bert was upset about the decision to convert the documentation to Markdown so that it could be used with Github Pages and decided to take his leave. Hopefully he comes back at some point.

Aaaahh… this I did not know. I know that there was some sentiments against GitHub just because I know some people arent too crazy about Microsoft owning it now. While the Documentation (linked to from the top menu) is definitely where Im spending my time, it looks like this is the place to make contributions:
https://github.com/textpattern/textpattern.github.io/blob/master/README.md

Hmm… I wonder if I still have a Github, as its been a while (read: years) since a project (of mine, or that I am working on) has used those services.

Re: Who's interested in making a Textpattern theme over the coming months?

I’m currently doing the plugins site in the spare moments between my real job (see here) and that is my priority at the moment.

However, as previously mentioned, a lot of the code used in the plugins site will also be used on the themes site – so I envisage a shorter development time for that.

During the themes site development I’ll also try to get my various themes based on popular frameworks (Bootstrap, Foundation, etc) in some sort of finished state so at least there will be something on there at launch (plus any themes by others that are ready at the time).

Thanks for your patience!

I went to http://txpthemes.com/ when it was first mentioned in this thread many days ago and I’ve seen no themes there whatsoever, just a black dog staring back at me.

i just went there on MacOS Safari and downloaded a “template”. What browser are you using ?

Awesome. I actually was thinking Bootstrap (above the others) for my forays into 4.7 / 4.8 themes that Im doing. More useful info as things get tied together.

Should I assume you’re talking about themes.textpattern.com, as Phil mentioned?

For completeness, I was referring to the theme(s) I want to design, build and release, libre or commercial.

That might be Bert playing a joke on me, however. He’d be the type to figure it out. (Or, come to think of it, it might be how my browser is set. No tracking.)

Mr Wion,

Are you implying that I’m waiting on you to visit so I can sick the dog on you?

The dog’s name is Rosie, she’s a purebred Labrador Retriever.

Now, want to tell me what’s wrong with my site?

Yes, but I just get an empty page with menacing black dog.

Themes Link is there as a drop down menu. NOTE: Black Labs don’t bite!
(PS you may need to resize browser window to see the links)

Destry,

I’ve brought Rosie back in, so you can visit TXP Themes now :)

I’m not subscribed to this thread, but just now happen to see I’m being ribbed…

Anyway, there was no text on the page when I last looked, months ago, only Rosie. Looking now I see the text. So no problem, I guess.

Rosie is doing good, she stopped eating my flip-flops, so she’s got that going for her.

Best dog ever! I had a black lab from 1964 to 1977…
I am going to subscribe to this thread as I have been using virtually the same template since 2004 – and it is time for an update!
