In the FundOSS Skack channel a fair few users have pointed out this detracts their end users from being able to donate.
The FundOSS owners are looking into implementing other payment gateways within next few days (this is a pilot, after all).
i too failed to actually donate as there was no PayPal option. I came away from the whole process detesting Github. Sorry but i cannot abide sloppy work that fails to provide options.
PS i shouldn’t need a github account either just to donate.

Thank you to everyone who has chipped in so far. Fantastic!
If anyone can promote us on any channels (not just now for funding of course, but in general at any time) then everything helps spread the word. Even a simple tweet about a feature you love or some mention of a site you made where Textpattern shone and made the process easy. Anything like that is most welcome.
@bici. Perhaps give it a few days and try FundOSS again. Seems they’re working on bringing other gateways online.

One a bit spammy way of telling Textpattern fans of this campaign would be to browse through the Stargazers list for user profiles that have public email addresses, and then simply messaging them. 😉 (Also Textpattern team should consider creating a newsletter that would notify subscribers about new important version releases and funding campaigns.)

Excellent, I was able to arrange a second donation via one of my clients (a credit card is then required). Maybe that’s something others can recommend to trusted clients. Even 5$ brings about 45$ of matched funding.
Donating again oneself is possible, also via another login, but the matched funding is much much smaller.

Just wanted to say: Well done, everyone!
The 646$ in donations is already just brilliant, but that the matched funding brings it up to ~3,500$ is just stupendous I think! That was worthwhile and I hope it makes new breakthroughs possible.
