[Done] <txp:search_result_date>: remove?
Why do we have this tag? All it does is call <txp:posted />
internally.
Any objections if we kill it off?

Cool. Since it’s so easy to do I might just add a deprecation warning in 4.8.6. I doubt anyone’s using the tag anyway and I’ve amended the tag docs to remove reference to it today. Hopefully that will mean nobody uses it going forward.

Will the posted
tag work in the search context?

Posted is posted is posted. The date of posting doesn’t change whether you navigate to an article or search for it. So, yes.

Deprecated in 4.8.6 onward. Use <txp:posted />
instead.

Should the tag example be updated to have just posted?

Maybe. I was going to leave it there so people know it does the same thing. Maybe that should be stated: I’ll do that.
