Can you recommend a good forum package?

I’ve got a Txp website and am running a group with 12 (unrelated) members. I’ll need to install some kind of group forum, and wondered if anyone here has a strong recommendation…?

Thank you in advance Txp friends.

I quite like the look and feel of Flarum.

I know that FluxBB is also popular and powers the forum here.

Both those options seem overkill for just 12 members. Is the group intended to grow exponentially. Does it need to be a publicly viewable message tool? If not something like Slack would be fine I guess.

Thank you. I did actually run a group on Slack till recently, but everyone else seemed to lose access (limited period for free accounts, I think).

It’s small now, but might well grow, and / or be used for entirely other groups.

I’ve gone ahead an installed phpBB. It seems relatively simple, and probably expandable…

Fingers crossed.
