Request: Articles by Category, but limited categories?
I would love to have a way to list my articles by category like in Dean’s article_by_category plugin, except limiting the categories shown to a certain branch of my category hierarchy.
Is there a plugin that can do this or a simple modification of Dean’s existing plugin that’d make this work?
I’d be eternally gratefeul for any pointers on this…

Something else might handle this better but I can tell you for sure that the rss_suparchive will let you list articles using a comma separated list of categories.

I looked into rss_suparchive earlier and it looks pretty slick. The trick is, I’m working on a non-blog site, so I need the articles grouped by category, not date.
Is there a way to use rss_suparchive to group the articles by category? I see there’s a “showcats” attribute, but it looks like that shows the categories, but doesn’t group by them.
rss_suparchive looks like a great plugin, by the way. I intend to use it elsewhere in my site…

Actually, I just worked on something like that for the Textpattern Resources site. You can see its category archive here, but I haven’t had time to release it yet.
Is this what you had in mind?
