command line installer option

Just noticed this on Twitter.

Textpattern CMS @textpattern

Aside: did you know Textpattern CMS has a command line installer option? Would you like to know more about it?

is this something new? I have checked the documentation and i don’t see this option.

I recently updated my EE site via CL and it was easy and super cool!

[auto-installer] is this something new?

New since 4.7.0, yes. It pretty much powers the demo site (along with some extra scripting by Pete to tweak the permissions to make it suitable for running in an unmoderated environment), allowing it to be rebuilt every few hours in seconds.

I have checked the documentation and i don’t see this option.

We haven’t documented it fully yet. It’s on the list.
