Re: PHPXref at 1024px
Wow, this thread is really interesting, let’s bump.
PHPXref was started in 2006, it was later renamed to PHPCrossRef in 2010 to differentiate the project from the service. Rather than create a new thread, I’ll wait till I change the look and make the site responsive, it’s the last Textpattern site I have running that is not mobile friendly.

What does runtime is referring to? Wordpress: 22 seconds.
BTW, Textpattern is in the CMS category, Wordpress in the Blog one. The war is over, we are in a different league :D

It’s how long the Perl script takes to generate the cross reference. The last time I generated the WordPress xref, VirtualBox was running on a SATA drive and it took 39 seconds, now it’s running on an SSD, it took 22. The faster processor and increased ram helped, but the SSD kicks ass.

WordPress will always be a blog in my eyes, Textpattern can be whatever it wants to be.

Re: PHPXref at 1024px
About a year ago, I placed password restrictions on the PHPCrossRef site, it’s been rather quiet since then, which let me get some work done.
I’ve decided to open it up again, no more passwords are needed to view the cross references, happy, happy, joy, joy :)
Should anyone have any projects they’d like to see added to the library, there’s a submit email link in the footer of the site.

Textpattern 4.8.3 PHPCrossRef
The project grew from 4.6.2 to 4.8.3, hey progress ;)
I’m on fiber now, the rsync to DreamHost took 38 seconds, like wow.

Thanks Stef, all-nighters generating cross references on old hardware and rsyncing them on slow connections, while the family complains about me sucking up all their bandwidth has caused me many a time to wonder if it was all worth it.

Absolutely, that was my txp Bible when I have started writing plugins.
If you ever have any suggestions to improve it, please let me know.

I’m less using it nowadays, since a fresh git copy permanently stays on my laptop, but will do if I have any suggestion. Thanks for your time and efforts!
What Git copy?
