Posts’ content published via Open Live Writer are not visible.

I’ve just configured Open Live Writer to publish posts on TextPattern via XML-RPC server (set up as “Movable Type API”, image uploading set up via FTP).

The thing is that posts published that way are not displayed on my website: there are just empty <li> elements (due to wraptag="ul" break="li"). The stranger thing, however, is that once I open any of those invisible posts within TextPattern admin panel and simply perform CTRL+S (not changing anything), the post instantaneously becomes visible on the site. Both before and after performing CTRL+S the post’s status is “Live”.

TextPattern version: 4.8.3
PHP version: 7.1.33

It looks like the server writes to Body field instead of Body_html, but that’s only a guess. Can you check in your textpattern table, before hitting CTRL+S?

Yes, this is exactly the case. Can anything be done to fix that?

Unfortunately, I have no experience with these services and don’t know how to set them up for testing. We have even discussed dropping them in favour of more recent alternatives. Maybe Stef can do something.

GraphQL among others, but @philwareham knows this stuff better, it’s beyond my pay-grade.
