Thanks to the developers for the language switcher on the login panel
You’re welcome. Glad it’s useful. The language picker on the Users panel is also handy when creating authors as it sends the invites out in that language. And preselects their language on the login panel for a more seamless experience.

Installed fine. Works great. One thing that bugs me: can the default options for the excerpt format be changed somehow? I’d like to change it to “Leave text untouched” and have it stay that way.
Maybe raise an issue at the GitHub repo and this can be discussed. There is also the option of using…
<txp:excerpt escape="tags" />
…to remove any HTML tags from the excerpt, although admittedly this isn’t as clean as having plain text in the first place.

Ah, well, that was easy enough. Thanks.

Re: Feedback for: Textpattern CMS 4.8.2 released
It works.
Somehow my auto_increments got reset to 0 which caused `images` to fail, and `files` to try to eat themselves (had I used it in the last 14 years), but easily fixed. Doubt this was due to the upgrade as I just tarballed it over – just seems weird that I noticed this after the upgrade.
@bloke is obviously going to fix this for 4.8.3. :D

Looks fine here – I see 4.8.2, and we’ve had plenty of downloads. Does it change if you clear your browser cache?

Ouch… a wee bit out of date there…

Pete, look under the heading “Release documentation“, there is an unordered list, third item, text: “Release notes“, links to… (see above).

Ugh. That’ll teach me to read too quickly.
whocarez – I was wrong, I am sorry.
phiw13 – thank you, appreciate the pointer.
I’ll fix it. Check again in 5 minutes.

Done. See also github.com/textpattern/textpattern-toolbelt/commit/e2eb83bec7b37f86289cffcc2ceee0dde485f388 so we catch it next time.
Thanks, whocarez!

The Textpattern 4.8.2 demo is built on PHP 7.4, so barring any obscure configuration settings you should be OK.
PHP 8 compatibility preparation work is underway.
