I checked the textpattern table and, in my case, the values are populated into the custom_4 colomn as this: Broché|eBook when a book as the 2 formats.

Sorry, not… All colomns have the same values even if I choose only one: Broché|eBook.

So, I will project to use 2 custom fields, each for a different format.

Definitely sounds like a bug. Are you using Jools’ latest version from GitHub?
