Re: Textpattern Plugins site BETA is now live
At beta launch, we have just added a handful of plugins to get the site up and running and to stress-test. Many more plugins will be added over the coming weeks, so don’t fret if your favourite plugin is not yet listed.
As noted in my first post. Plugins will be gradually added over time (I added a couple more this morning).

Yes, I am welcoming anyone who wants to write more cards for here: github.com/textpattern/textpattern-curated-plugins-list
Instructions are in the README. You can pull request new files, or I can give commit access to trusted users such as yourself.

Re: Textpattern Plugins site BETA is now live
good, good; happy to see this plugin listing going live!
a few minor things:
- on individual plugin pages the download button text is a bit misleading “PHP download”, could it just be “download” ? (you are not necessarily getting a php file, strictly speaking.
- a quick, short help note on the various ways to install te plugins (the traditional
textarea, thefile uploadwidget…) might be helpful.

@phiw13 Yep, all valid points. Can you please open an issue for this at the repo, I’ll ensure it makes it into the next update. Thanks!

Re: Textpattern Plugins site BETA is now live
Perhaps adding a way to see new and/or updated plugins would be useful.

OK; I started. Could someone check that what I have done is OK or if it needs changes?

Where did you put the JSON files? I can’t see any commits to the repo or issues or PRs.

It appears that I did not have full rights so the file is pending approval some place (no idea where). I was expecting to see it on github.com/textpattern/textpattern-curated-plugins-list/tree/master/library-of-plugins. The name of the file was oui_player.json.

There’s nothing I can see in the repo itself. No holding area or anything like that.
Is the pending commit in your local repo (did you clone it to your machine) awaiting push when you get access? Or did you add a new file directly to the GitHub master branch on github.com?

I worked directly on github. I went to the /textpattern-curated-plugins-list/tree/master/library-of-plugins, Clicked on Add file/create a new file, named the file, and clicked the button in the bottom named “Propose new file.”

Hmm, that is weird. Then it should have come in as a Pull Request, either to master or to a branch if you checked that option. I see nothing there. Maybe I don’t have enough access rights to see such content.

Thanks for checking Stef. Phil may have the access. I’ll wait for his input.

textpattern.org. End of an(other) era. Literally.
Just noticed…
rah_pathways is one of the two plugins under Links, but it probably belongs under URLs, at least in addition to, which has none?
My mental model of Links was Links panel.
Not sure if two categories will be robust enough for how people think of things. Then again, I don’t expect hundreds of plugins to emerge. And that’s a nod to Txp’s improvements, not the community’s lack of activity.
