nomenclatures
… some sectors of the tech industry are waking up. They are renaming categories to reject the anti-blackness in the terms. One just emailed us saying:
The name changes will be as follows:
Blacklist → Exclusion List
Whitelist → Inclusion List
Master List → Base List

And rightly so. I do not remember coming across such terms in txp. If we do, we should start thinking of changing them too!

We went the ‘blocklist’ route in October 2013 – I remember that because my last employer did a similar thing after a (very valid) customer complaint.
