A magician’s website running using Txp, full page background images. The images used for each section page are repeated on the home page, this is an interesting one as with GDPR and without an SSL cert web forms were not used, and he saw no drop in the number of enquiries, meaning healthy numbers of enquiries continued to come through which I liked! I think even without web forms sites may have to employ ssl for simply the browser warnings of ‘not secure’ which could be off-putting to some users, even if it really wouldn’t apply to a brochure website like this.

HTML5/CSS3 responsive design, ranking page one for ‘magician cork’ which is nice. Full page video background on the ‘show’ page.

I’ve actually re-designed hubs’s website again! :D

I find magicians very entertaining and I like the site too:) I of course went straight for the video on https://www.davidpeacemagic.ie/show/ where there are a couple of minor validation errors. Also, Do you think you should hide the video behind a cookie consent in order to make the site GDPR compliant? This is how I do it.

Thanks Colak, ah a stray alt tag yes! And I think the phone validation I should be able to set the a href with no spaces and it still works so that’s an easy one too :)

I’ll take a look! I’m actually pulling from the ‘nocookie’ YouTube facility, they created that specifically for GDPR requirements so I’m confident since everything loads from nocookie mode it should be ok (inspector shows no cookie loaded), and I don’t use any cookies on the website either.

Though thanks for that code it could be handy on other sites or scenarios where I can’t load without cookies!

That’s strange, why wouldn’t they show in the inspector>console then?

Is it saying it’s from the YouTube video?

I can’t upload an image here, but web inspector shows two cookies in console, one is my txp login cookie, which obviously is only set for me, the other is the no cookie YouTube which is completely empty and stays that way even after play is clicked.. no tracking at all..

I can see more in Chrome so I’ll investigate, thanks for the code you linked earlier may well use that!
