Stop Using Encrypted Email
Email is unsafe and cannot be made safe.

The first e-mail was sent in 1971. SMTP was introduced in 1981. There is nothing about encryption in RFC5322, the current standard for e-mail from 2008. PGP Inc. was shutdown in 2001. The PGP Corporation was sold to Symantec in 2010 and the current status is iffy.
So what he says makes perfect sense.

i was on arpanet and then bitnet. i never used email for anything but mundane work communication and mundane personal communication. And today only basic personal communication. ( ah the eral ydays of email… only via terminal access. And MTS based no less)!
This to me makes email perfectly safe.
