I have been wanting an e-ink phone for a while, and a simpler one; just text and phone. This might be it, the LightPhone. More attractive to me than the Librem 5, by far.
Already out of stock on their second batch.

I suspect as little as I use my current iClone 6, it would be perfect for me. I don’t know what the cost of a new iPhone is, but probably three times the price as this one. And requiring a lot more precious Earth matter.
I love the promo vids. Which show people enjoying other activities and conversation instead of everything being centered around staring into the phone. Perfect!

I’ve got a YotaPhone 2 few years ago. Its ink display is fun and great for sunny weather, but I confirm, you won’t be watching movies/surfing internet with it.

Another option, if you wonna go “dumb”, is the Punkt MP02.
Beautiful hardware design, quite buggy software. Special feature: can create a wifi hotspot for your tablet/laptop.

Not sure, but anyway, I would test it before ordering an ink-screen phone. It’s perfect for beach reading (provided the resolution is high enough), but can be unusable in the dark. And typing long texts can be problematic – ink screens are generally slower and less sensitive/precise.
