Joyent pivot - public cloud will be single-tenant only
Upcoming Changes to Our Cloud Business
(Context: Dean Allen founded Textpattern, and also founded TextDrive, some time later Joyent acquired TextDrive, and a bit later still Samsung acquired Joyent.)
EOL for anyone affected.

I remember TextDrive, not a VC, but had an account before Joyent (me thinks).
Its was a Dean Allen(esque) experience – no fancy pants available, just text.

EOL emails are bummers. I suffered through a few of these : Textdrive/Joyent/Webfaction
In the case of the first two, what was an even bigger loss was the comradeship and support of the User Forums that those services provided.
There was nothing like it! And what a gift that community was!
I miss that virtual community.
But I am glad to continuing to have the Textpattern user community.
