Firefox and improved tracking prevention

Firefox 69, released today, includes a vastly improved (third party) tracking prevention mechanism. It is more or less on par with ITP as is shipping with current version of Safari.

Both have a similar declaration principles, the Firfox one is linked in the article above, the Safari one is here

Chrome ? crickets… or rather empty noises and pushing back To their credit, it seems that Microsoft is trying to get something similar to webkits mechanisms & APIs in the chromium code.

Re: Firefox and improved tracking prevention

google worried about its privacy reputation? Maybe, as it seems to warrant 3 (!) full page ads in a printed newspaper (by “Post”, I assume the tweet refers to the Bezos Post, also known as Wapo). I cannot verify that, though.

The tweet was made by a Washington Post National Political Reporter so that would back up your assumption.
