Or just not add any Zuckerbutt-licking links at all. :)

That would, of course, be my preferred option!

I see you didn’t melt under the French summer sun.

Why Should I? I don’t use emoji.

(insert something about the insufferable emptiness of frivolity)

I had to zoom in to see what that emoji was.

I used UnicodeChecker.app; it gave me a nice large size and told me Name: MOUNTAIN BICYCLIST.

Getting completely OT, now: Has someone with sufficient privs changed that emoji today? When I opened this topic I could, to a certain degree, understand phiw13’s interpretation. What I see now is so clear (kid with helmet cycling to the left) that all the discussion in the wake of this posting lapses. Or can that change be caused by any element in the chain between bici, our server and me using different fonts, maybe from server cacheing? (I’m on the same device & browser as this morning.)

edited for typos, clarification

Re: Txp cookies, visitor logging, and GDPR stuff in general

Question… why is the emoji rendered so small when in the UnicodeChecker.app it appears much larger?

The size of the emoji image is dependent on the font-size being used… It is text after all. The preview in UnicodeChecker.app is something like 48pt, I think.

It is the same ‘image’ / small ‘image’ size as before, seen from here. So no changes. What may have changed is your perception — once you know what the symbol is supposed to show, you more easily see the various parts. After having seen a large version of the symbol, I now see, recognise some triangle of blue at the top left as “sky”, and I see or rather guess there is a shape closely resembling a human figure.
