fwiw, I’ve been looking at CloudFlare’s new registration service

Am I missing something…seems to be transfer-in-and-renew only, no obvious route to get new domains.

I must be geographically limited – all I see is an option to transfer domains in, not purchase new ones.

Re: Domain name renewal fees

Makes two of us:

what does this say?
Cloudflare Registrar

Finally, a domain registrar you can love.
Cloudflare Registrar securely registers and manages your domain names with transparent, no-markup pricing that eliminates surprise renewal fees and hidden add-on charges. You pay what we pay — you won’t find better value.

and yet i find no way to ACTUALLY securely register a domain??!!
sorry

Re: Domain name renewal fees

This thread says “ At this time, you can only transfer existing domain names into Cloudflare” but I don’t know how official that is. It seems like only ~1000 people wanted to know that (at the time of writing).

…and they have to be on a Cloudflare plan. Makes sense now, and answers my question about why they’re doing it at-cost.
