Free and Open Source Technologies, Arts and Commoning Practices

Hi all,

I hope that this might be of interest to the community. We are currently having an open call for participants for the Free and Open Source Technologies, Arts and Commoning Practices: An Unconference about Art, Design, Technology, Making, Cities and their Communities. Although I know art is not the main subject of this forum, but open source technologies is, and as we have just secured a keynote from Richard Stallman, so I am using this opportunity to urge you to apply as it would be great if Textpattern is included in there.

If interested do let me know.

I shared on the M’don. That’s the kind of gig-theme folks there flock to. And Stallman? You’ll be sold out shortly, no doubt.

No entrance fee and no registrations. We insisted on the first, and RMS demanded the second. Our problem is that not many people know of him in CY so we are trying to get people from the proximity who would not otherwise have the chance to hear and/or meet him.

I maintain since 2011 (I think) a website devoted to contemporary art in French cities.
It runs on Textpattern.

Does it aligns with what you are looking for ?

Hi Planeth,

I have to admit that in open calls we have no idea what to expect/although the site’s subject matter is very close to my heart:). If you feel that there is a way to relate to to the provisional themes, by writing an abstract and submitting it, we have a very transparent process in selecting the presentations.
