Txp 4.7.2 ... (new) users doesn't get an e-mail ... !?
In Txp 4.7.2 (new) users don’t get an e-mail with the info how to log-in. Is this a known issue? What I can see is that the confirm-pop-up at the bottom of the window only shows the first part of the emailaddress … :o

For the time being I’m now using the good old rah_change_passwords > https://rahforum.biz/plugins/rah_change_passwords/versions

Just to confirm that the emails do arrive through our installs. Are you sure that they are not caught in any spam filters?

Checked every corner of the mailclient … no email from Txp. Also checked with webmail … nada!

“mariaber” is the login(name) … not the first part of her address … sorry!

If you use gmail, hotmail or any one of those, did you also check online? ie did you log in gmail.com to check your spam there?

Another option:) Set you website on debug, send your email to a new user, and check if there are any errors (these may appear in the source of the page).
ps… I take it that your diagnostics do not indicate any errors.

Yes, I’ve checked diagnostics … All checks passed.

I’ve also tried it with with rah_change_passwords … the same … :o … nothing has been sent or received for that matter.
And I checked all of this on 2 servers at different providers.

Until the problem is solved and if you can visit phpMyAdmin, you can change the password for the user by typing:
UPDATE `txp_users` SET pass=password(lower('pass')) WHERE name='username';Check Jakob’s post here.

In your site’s preferences, did fill in 1/ the SMTP envelop sender address ? and 2/ Send login details from this address – Admin > Preferences > Admin
I have no problem sending login details, just verified on two different hosts. In both cases I use an address directly associated with the site / host.
Where is that emoji for a solar powered submarine when you need it ?
