So Txp is actually ranked 4th best in that list. Not bad for an unknown. ;)

for a pure bloging platform TxP should be absolutely #1
It just Works.
WP is a horror show as is Joomla. Don’t even know why Drupal is in this group.

Never used Joomla, so can’t comment on that. But yes you’d be mad to use Drupal for a blog – not its target audience at all.

Wordpress / Joomla / Drupal will always show up in these “articles” – they’ve got market share. Drupal may be a PITA (I’ve tried and winced) but it is the perennial #3 for market share. But these are not truly cultivated news stories. This is click bait – pure and simple. Which of course we are sucking into (hey – I clicked and read it too.)
What really is impressive is that Textpattern does often show up on these lists – despite our small user base. There is something about our fave CMS that sets it apart. A salute to it’s founder and our creative developer team today that make it continue to be a great choice in 2018.

Content marketing 101. Working like a charm. It’s all about keywords in the right topic and domain. Draws ‘em like stacks of money in a clear plastic sack.

I remember installing it once so I could check it out. Definitely not designed for blogging at all. You had to manually set the URL for every page.
I tried Joomla right around the split with Mambo. Like Drupal, it is really best used by large organizations who need to put a lot of content online.
