Undetectable spy chips

I can’t read this article because I block all of Bloomberg’s tracking shit so it blocks me access in return, but the article is apparently blowing minds.

I can read this paper, though, and it’s pretty much along the same lines.

Moral of the story seems to be, either build your own open hardware from reliable sources, or just give up being on-grid at all.

I’m always amused by the ‘Disappear forever’ hed, then pretty much the rest of the article is admitting that it’s impossible.

I have been asked in the past by people who want to go off the grid. I point out they have a job, a paycheck, a cell phone, a mailing address. So if the government wants to find them, they can find them. They were disappointed I couldn’t help them. They didn’t mind working in town, they just wanted to be sure the guvmint didn’t know where they were off the job. I was kind in my response.
