Publishing not possible in any browser on iOS [SOLVED]

I can’t publish (or update) articles in any browser on iOS (most recent version). The same happens on Safari in Mac OS X, so I have to use Google Chrome to publish any article. That makes me think it is not a server related thing.

I’m guessing this is a js-thing, so I cleared the cache, but that didn’t solve anything.

Suggestions of what to do are most welcome! (Btw, uploading of files or images is doing fine.)

Are you using any file/image upload plugin on the Write tab? Safari has some known problems with file uploading via ajax.

That was it. abc_article_image was active, although I never actually used it.

Thanks!

That’s still annoying, since one day we might need it in core. Found this workaround, but hope it will be fixed in Safari.

Dev branch is presumably patched now. It would be sweet if someone with Safari on MacOS/iOS could test whether article save works with abc_article_image plugin enabled. Thanks!

With that plugin installed and active – but not used, Safari Technology Preview (aka Safari.next) saves the forms (Write Panel) correctly without your patch. But saving fails with Safari Release v. 11.1.2 (**605.3.8).

With your patch, both browsers save the forms correctly.

Thanks for testing, hope it’s nailed.
