[request/planning] hack for integrating other admin stuff
what would you think of a simple hack for integrating other admin stuff, like admin panels for integrated forums, integrated scripts like shoutboxes and so on…
i know, its not really possible to write an “engine” for that, since every coder does this own style of integrating such things. but my idea is the following:
the external panel is just an iframe or something like this, which integrates a formerly given url.
for example you could just do the following:
Integrate external app/panel: myScriptsPanel
URL: http://www.mysite.com/myscript/admin/
iframe / external link: [x] iframe [ ] external link

well… yes and no. yes, i want admin side plugins :-) but no, i didnt think of a plugin when i posted this, since i know there’s no engine for this yet. i talked about a hack like the notepad hack… but for integrating links/iframes to self-chosen urls. in my example external admin stuff, thats nevertheless related to the txp driven site
