reCaptcha for Textpattern

Has anyone upgraded their old reCaptcha plugin for V2?

ngd-ReCaptcha goes back to around 2008 and has not been updated?

what are you good people doing for reCaptcha protection of comment fields?

Not sure what you mean by “V2”, but if you’re talking about spam prevention in relation to a contact form, then the conventional Txp method for that now is the comm_connect plugin.

Maybe try the rah_comment_spam plugin instead. Although not a Recaptcha plugin per se it does have a multitude of anti-spam methods within it.

I haven’t seen a comment Recaptacha Textpattern plugin that uses the newest Google APIs, although for a PHP programmer it’d be a fairly trivial thing to create I think.

Thank you for that – installed, tested and deployed.

Using ReCaptcha would be good or updating an existing plugin would be kind of handy but there are other methods of trapping out the spammer bad-people.

I actually thought about porting my Textpattern blog over to Wordpress but picked up the nearest stick and whacked myself in the head until the thought passed.

There is something decidedly hipster and cool about using something as trim and elegant at Textpattern… all these years.
