Oldie but a very good reference. Robert Bringhurst’s book (The Elements of Typographic Style) has been part of my library for a long time.
Where is that emoji for a solar powered submarine when you need it ?

There is nothing wrong with that site. Why do you think that, because it is old, it is outdated? Pats Practical Typography link is good too.

I by no means think that it is outdated, I am just trying to see if there are any newer trends.

This can be useful: Typekit reference guide. This, although quite outdated, is not bad as a reference to typographic control: The State of web type, but the test cases seem to have disappeared and it lacks links to the relevant spec (it is mostly in CSS Fonts level 3).

Nice tips Philippe. Hadn’t seen those. I agree with you: Brinkhurst has long been a classic, especially for long-form text for reading. Richard Rutter brought it into the digital age (now also as a book). There’s also betterwebtype and ALA/Jason Santa Maria’s On Web Typography.
There are also lots of CSS kits for web typography baselines, e.g. Gutenberg, sassline, type-scale, modular scale, grid lover … and you’ll find many more.
