Also investigate solutions to common problems for email delivery problems:
- Sender Policy Framework
- DomainKeys Identified Mail
- Valid Reverse DNS/PTR
If these things are missing, it’s much more difficult to confirm that an email is arriving from its advertised origin, and more often it gets tagged as spam.
I’ve had numerous problems with Textpattern email delivery over the years, and it’s always down to the above things being invalid or not set up.
I would really, really like to see Textpattern be able to connect to an external SMTP server or service (like Amazon SES, for example) to minimise the problems associated with email delivery.
