Diagnostics > More readable plugin list for posting in the forum

Simply quoted from post #305936 from today:

Plugins actifs: yab_email-0.7, zem_contact_reborn-4.5.0.0m, smd_query-0.50, smd_if-0.91, smd_wrap-0.20, glx_if-0.7, smd_multi_choice-0.20, adi_calc-1.2, smd_xml-0.40, adi_gps-0.4, soo_page_break-0.1.0, adi_globals-0.3, oui_player-1.2.0-beta, adi_file_tab-0.3, upm_textile-0.3, smd_macro-0.41, rss_admin_db_manager-4.4, smd_tabber-0.11, adi_matrix-2.0, mck_login-2.0.2, smd_remote_file-0.50, jcr_image_custom-0.1.1, jbx_multiple_image_upload-0.5.5, smd_lib-0.36, soo_plugin_pref-0.2.3, spf_codemirror-1.0, rah_knots-0.2.2, adi_article_tab-0.3, adi_form_links-0.4, adi_notes-1.3.1, adi_recent_tab-0.6m, rah_expanding-1.3, bot_write_tab_customize-0.7.5, msd_ga_dashboard-0.2, rah_nocache-0.4.0, smd_imagery-0.10, smd_where_used-0.30, ied_plugin_composer-1.1.1, glz_custom_fields-1.5.0m, smd_thumbnail-0.32m, smd_tags-0.51, arc_meta-2.0.1-beta.1

Looking at this list of plugins here (and having seen similar extensive ones quite a lot of times), I often wish Diagnostics would show the plugin list left aligned and alphabetically sorted, for being more user friendly towards people trying to help in the forum (and for not hiding important details like the m(odified) suffixes).

For comparison:

adi_article_tab-0.3
adi_calc-1.2
adi_file_tab-0.3
adi_form_links-0.4
adi_globals-0.3
adi_gps-0.4
adi_matrix-2.0
adi_notes-1.3.1
adi_recent_tab-0.6m
arc_meta-2.0.1-beta.1
bot_write_tab_customize-0.7.5
glx_if-0.7
glz_custom_fields-1.5.0m
ied_plugin_composer-1.1.1
jbx_multiple_image_upload-0.5.5
jcr_image_custom-0.1.1
mck_login-2.0.2
msd_ga_dashboard-0.2
oui_player-1.2.0-beta
rah_expanding-1.3
rah_knots-0.2.2
rah_nocache-0.4.0
rss_admin_db_manager-4.4
smd_if-0.91

A wholly reasonable request, and it makes perfect sense. Could you raise this on the Issue tracker please and someone’ll look into the feasibility.

Hi uli, what is glz_custom_fields-1.5.0m, what means the “m”?

Re: Diagnostics > More readable plugin list for posting in the forum

Thank you, Sir! I actually don’t see why we wrap it in a readonly <textarea />? It could be more structured somehow…

Edit: must be for copy/paste facility, got it.

Thanks for coding, Oleg!

May I propose to set the modified-m apart and embrace it with two stars? That way the m stands out more obviously in plain text and is bolded when pasted in a forum post. Like that:

Flavour plain text:

smd_query-0.50
smd_remote_file-0.50
smd_tabber-0.11
smd_tags-0.51
smd_thumbnail-0.32 m
smd_where_used-0.30
smd_wrap-0.20
smd_xml-0.40
soo_page_break-0.1.0
soo_plugin_pref-0.2.3

Flavour code:

smd_query-0.50
smd_remote_file-0.50
smd_tabber-0.11
smd_tags-0.51
smd_thumbnail-0.32 *m*
smd_where_used-0.30
smd_wrap-0.20
smd_xml-0.40
soo_page_break-0.1.0
soo_plugin_pref-0.2.3

Re: Diagnostics > More readable plugin list for posting in the forum

Maybe even write in full “modified” or “mod” so it’s recognised by more users.

Flavour plain text:

smd_query-0.50
smd_remote_file-0.50
smd_tabber-0.11
smd_tags-0.51
smd_thumbnail-0.32 mod
smd_where_used-0.30
smd_wrap-0.20
smd_xml-0.40
soo_page_break-0.1.0
soo_plugin_pref-0.2.3

Flavour code:

smd_query-0.50
smd_remote_file-0.50
smd_tabber-0.11
smd_tags-0.51
smd_thumbnail-0.32 *mod*
smd_where_used-0.30
smd_wrap-0.20
smd_xml-0.40
soo_page_break-0.1.0
soo_plugin_pref-0.2.3
