Apparently disappeared?
The domain (owner: Dean Allen) has been renewed a week ago or so, according whois.

Maybe there’s a new way to access plugins??
I see that this forum is now at textpattern.io

That’s good. My problem is that I can’t connect to Plugins from this page.
Like, just up there. In the menu.
It is directing to textpattern.org where the “DNS address could not be found”. Or is it just me?
Do the plugins still reside there, or are they at another, changed, web address?

No, it is not just you.
Quoting myself upthread:

The site should return I think… AFAIK, it is managed by the Texpattern developers nowadays. I think…
Meanwhile, what plugins are you trying to find ? Perhaps they are available via Github?

All would be a good start. [!!]
No, I’m not sure just at the moment. I was looking for a video player and went back to jwplayer.
There should be a working link to the plugins, err, somewhere.

IMHO we should just have one url (the .io) and include all the information there. I also think that the .com site should have an htaccess redirect to the .io domain. It is about time we take charge of the domains (even if this means phasing out the ones Dean has) and concentrate our efforts into creating one very well designed and comprehensive site.
Basically I’m in favour of centralisation!

That topic wasn’t well worded.
I should have asked:
How do I access plugins?

As long as .org is down, the only way I see is: Ask here for what you need or – in case you don’t know the plugin’s names – describe what you need. I for one have downloaded what I could lay my mitts on and would help out.
BTW: You might want to rename the topic, just edit it in your opening post.

oui_player seems ever-present these days.
It is… ;)
I wanted to update its version on .org maybe two days ago and was also surprised but I thought that something better would appear on .io in a not so far future. In the meanwhile, GitHub should be the place with the tag textpattern-plugin.
@detail, oui_player was designed to embed configurable providers players but it now includes a basic support for HTML5 audio and video players. I’ll try to complete it in the next few months.

I will eventually build something on .io domain to replace the old .org site. Had a few thoughts on how to go about it but early planning stage at the moment.
The main Textpattern site is close to being relaunched – just a bit more coding left to do on it (though I’ve busy at work last couple of weeks that gas delayed it). So it’ll be next on the list.
I’ve never had any contact with Dean so whatever is going on with the current .org site I have no part in.
