Custom permlinks

Is there an alternative to mic_permlink for generating links with custom URLs?

e.g. <txp:mic_permlink mode="section_category_title">

(I was using mic_permlink with sgb_url_handler; have replaced sgb_url_handler with gbp_permanent_links.)

Since categories are optional (not mandatory), what kind of href should this generate for uncategorized articles?

Fine question. I’m not sure how sgb_url_handler and mic_permlink handled it, however they did it flawlessly. I think if /category/ was unavailable it would just default back to /section/; that would be the practical way to handle it.
