Search for contents of custom fields (admin side)

It would be nice if it was possible, probably together with the custom fields revamp, to search – from the admin side – for the content of custom fields.

For example, I have a custom field named CSS (there is some magic going on there, on the article panel it displays as “Style”…). I wish to find (on the Articles panel) all articles that have the value “foo” for that field. At present search returns nothing.

TIA.

yab_cf_article_list is what you are looking for.

Re: Search for contents of custom fields (admin side)

Yes there are various extensions that can find the content of custom fields (I use “smd_where_used“ myself). The point is, if custom fields become a more important citizen, an extension should not be needed.

And for custom fields that actually output content, that should be available to search from the front-end side of things, like, for example, a custom field that stores additional meta-data about images.

I second phiw13. In fact i secretly dream, that smd_tags, custom fields and categories could be multifunctionally merged. Ai ai ai.
