Yes it was. some years ago. It had security vulnerabilities so it was not widely used.

As dorka says, you could try my simple file attach module for ZCR. Grab it from Github and give it a whirl. Requires zem_contact_reborn v4.5.0.0+ and jQuery to be loaded on your public page.

I haven’t rolled in Javascript-style uploads yet. Maybe one day.
