MailChimp to Textpattern integration | paid work
I need a chunk of PHP code or a plugin to pull data from a MailChimp subscriber list, and then check whether a site visitor is on the list or not.
This sounds so simple when I write it out like that, but it would take me an age to work out myself, and I have a project deadline looming (end of the month).
The site runs TXP 4.5.7
Any takers?
Thanks
Gary

I take it that the new MailChimp bit of adi_contact wasn’t quite what you were after?

Re: MailChimp to Textpattern integration | paid work
adi_contact answers the other part of the equation (subscribing to MailChimp), but not how to pull information from MailChimp and then act on it.
I’ve found Drew McLelland’s MailChimp api and some examples.
The problem lies in how to determine that a site visitor is subscribed to MailChimp without asking them to log in separately. Visitors who are subscribed gain access to normally hidden file downloads throughout the site.
The best approach I can think of is once a user confirms their subscription email from MailChimp, we use MailChimp Webhooks to instruct a page on my Textpattern site to email the new subscriber a key using smd_access_keys
This almost sounds doable by me (at a push :), but I’d feel more comfortable spending the next two weeks refining the site css and code, and leaving the integration task up to someone who does this stuff in their sleep!
