I moved to Atom and I can see your logo associated with my .textile files with the file-icons extension; nice!

Cool. Did you add that yourself or did Atom put that in their app?

Can you provide a little screen-grab of it? I’m curious.

I’ve been thinking another folder in the repo for icon needs would be useful; a square version at the different Apple device sizes, or whatever. Is there a size list somewhere? I’ve been seeing these individual file sizes more an more lately in page headers instead of just a single icon used.

Me too. I’m giving Atom a try for a little while. Not overtly enthusiast so far, but maybe it is just a case of old habit etc.

Everything you need to know about that and more

Where is that emoji for a solar powered submarine when you need it ?

Thanks. Useful. Though I wish the history and notes were put to a separate page. Kind of hard to wade through for the part that’s actually current and recommended.

This next-to-last comment (at the mo) on it all seems like good sense.

But it’s the file sizes I was wondering about, and that’s clear enough. Thanks again.

Told ya – …everything…. And mostly I agree with that comment you note, although I doubt browsers actually request those files when they are not needed.

Here is my usual list – the apple-touch icons are also in the root (iOS is clever enough to find the one it wants):

<link rel="icon" type="image/png" href="/favicon-192.png" sizes="192x192">
<link rel="icon" type="image/png" href="/favicon-32.png" sizes="32x32">
<link rel="icon" type="image/svg+xml" href="/favicon.svg" sizes="any" >
<link rel="mask-icon" href="/favicon-mask.svg" color="#293037">

I just installed the file-icons package and it’s part of it.

I’ve been thinking another folder in the repo for icon needs would be useful; a square version at the different Apple device sizes, or whatever. Is there a size list somewhere? I’ve been seeing these individual file sizes more an more lately in page headers instead of just a single icon used.

The following is an output from http://realfavicongenerator.net
It’s a starting point for sizes…

<link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="57x57" href="/apple-touch-icon-57x57.png">
<link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="60x60" href="/apple-touch-icon-60x60.png">
<link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="72x72" href="/apple-touch-icon-72x72.png">
<link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="76x76" href="/apple-touch-icon-76x76.png">
<link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="114x114" href="/apple-touch-icon-114x114.png">
<link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="120x120" href="/apple-touch-icon-120x120.png">
<link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="144x144" href="/apple-touch-icon-144x144.png">
<link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="152x152" href="/apple-touch-icon-152x152.png">
<link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="180x180" href="/apple-touch-icon-180x180.png">
<link rel="icon" type="image/png" href="/favicon-32x32.png" sizes="32x32">
<link rel="icon" type="image/png" href="/android-chrome-192x192.png" sizes="192x192">
<link rel="icon" type="image/png" href="/favicon-96x96.png" sizes="96x96">
<link rel="icon" type="image/png" href="/favicon-16x16.png" sizes="16x16">
<link rel="manifest" href="/manifest.json">
<link rel="mask-icon" href="/safari-pinned-tab.svg" color="#5bbad5">
<meta name="msapplication-TileColor" content="#da532c">
<meta name="msapplication-TileImage" content="/mstile-144x144.png">
<meta name="theme-color" content="#ffffff">

That could be useful too.
