I know this isn’t really the place to nominate people as Textile maintainer, but if Ruud were to step up, I’d endorse his input 100%. His parsing, optimisation and regex knowledge is off the charts awesome, and since the Textile parser is a giant regex machine, he could take our beloved markup system to infinity and beyond.

No pressure. Just sayin’ :-D

I know a Kirin and Gizamalik that could leverage the maintenance co-handidly. No pressure though.
