Cool. Is he still keen to develop Textile going forward?

Re: Textile signatures
I posed the question to him via the tweeter channel.
He says he still runs the GitHub org and repos, and he’ll address bug fixes and whatnot with the existing version of php-textile, but he’s not interested in working on any new futures, advancements, or whatever. In that respect, he’s happy to talk with anyone who might want to be. Get in touch with him if so.
Twitter seems like an effective channel to do that, so anyone with further questions for Steve now knows what to do. ;)

The textile-mark repo has been transferred to the organization, and I’m still maintainer.

I know this isn’t really the place to nominate people as Textile maintainer, but if Ruud were to step up, I’d endorse his input 100%. His parsing, optimisation and regex knowledge is off the charts awesome, and since the Textile parser is a giant regex machine, he could take our beloved markup system to infinity and beyond.
No pressure. Just sayin’ :-D

I know a Kirin and Gizamalik that could leverage the maintenance co-handidly. No pressure though.
